Can it be found?
My mom had a 1969 Camaro convertible and had to sell it back in the 70's because my dad wanted to buy her a 79 white T/A to go with his 77 Smokey&The Bandit T/A (where my love affair with these cars started lol) Well she wants to know if there's a way to track it down and see if it's still around or if it was junked. The vin is 124679L505321

its going to be really hard unless you know who they sold it to and then trace the owners. the dmv wont be able to do anything. it would be better finding another car and making it to what she had

That is bad news, most companys to not keep records pre computer, They tossed them after using the computer to 7 to 10 years. You can do the papa johns route and offer a 1/4 of a million for who ever finds it.
I know if someone shows up at my house looking for their long lost baby I would help them out for about twice the going price
