camel hump heads

Default camel hump heads

i just picked up a 383 stroker with camel hump heads, but has no acc holes in front to mount alternator. its going into my 68 camaro with p/s but no a/c....anybody knows a kit that will work with this setup?

thanks camaro69...is there others out there...i just dont really like the look of the alternator bracket.....jus being picky i guess....lol

just in case anyone else has this problem and wants a nice alternator bracket, this is the best i've seen yet.....thanks for everyones input...

Ok, so then you've converted over to the long style water pump and no longer have the short style pump as your car came originally (with alternator on drivers side)?

Here is a way to take care of all your problems. Take the OLD hump heads and DUMP them to some guy that wants them for his project. Get a set of Vortec heads and bolt them on and you will increase your HP by at least 30HP and a lot more TQ. These are with out a dought the best heads GM ever came up with. They flow more then their famed Bow Ties and are a lot easer to get. Problem solved. I have a set on my 4410 lb. bracket truck and it runs in the high 13s with a roller cam and a set of vortecs. Gotta love the stuff thats cheap and makes power.

yeah, i've converted to long water pump...sorry, forgot to mention that also...

i think im just gonna get some aftermarket aluminum heads....thanks for info..
