camaro paint
Depending on your trim tag info - try http://www.digitaldorks.com/jim/68info.aspor http://www.68rscamaro.com/camfacts/
I wouldnt have a clue as to what advice to give you. I went with my fav color and knew exactly what color scheme I wanted for inside the engine bay. So is your first name Holly or is that just your screen name???
You should have a trim tag on the firewall. It will have the paint code on right side,2nd or 3rd line.Should be letters like R R = red lower red top.If you have a vinyl top or convertible, 2nd letter will be different.Tell your paint supplier the code , they can look it up.
I have another question for anybody that can help.on paint. What is the dash supposed to be?Gloss,semi-gloss?Mine is black,I don't think it is gloss. What should it be?Thanks,Ed

I went to Ebay and bought an original copy of the 1969 Camaro Sales Brochure, it has a photo of the car with every original paint scheme that was available, colors and all. I just went and checked, they also have them for the 68 as well, you should look into it. Good Luck.
If original is your goal, then go for it!
But, if you are not planning a nut & bolt all original, the paint will not make much of a difference in the value of the car. Rare models are certainly worthy of such restorations.
Pick a color that you like and run with it. You can always paint on the stripes to give a somewhat factory appearance.
