camaro car club
I was wondering what you guys thought about car clubs. I have had my 67 for 13 years and have just now gotten it to where it doesn't sit in the garage half broken waiting for money and time to be fixed. Im sure Im all alone in that one. I am actually taking it to car shows now and there seems to be a fairly large support group. NOT A.A..
Well maybe A.A., What has been your experience with car clubs, and is it good to join a club like GOOD GUYS which is kinda national or a club that is more local.

I was approached last year about joining a local club whichI declined at the time.
I may reconsider this year - not sure yet.
If I do join a club it'll be local, only cause most area events are tied to causes.I'd really prefer to support a local charity if possible.

The car show I went to couple weeks ago was at an orphanage to benefit the kids, we donated some clothes and money and the kids actually judged the cars it was great those kids had a blast. But they are strictly car shows only to benefit different things through the year. They were not a car club. I may go to another show Sat. and I willl ask around.
you would have probably been better off joining a local club before you even got your car on the road.
the problem is that a bunch of local clubs usually have real bad politics going on within because everyone is on a powertrip
Goodguys is not really geared towards our cars, and the only way they are really a club is in the sense that they all get together for theirshows. if you are looking to join a club I would suggest looking for a local established club that might have been established for quite a while, and maybe meets once a month, and also does something productive with their monthly dues
