Default brake lights

The 67 SS/RS is almost all back together, Starts, goes forward, backward, and stops . And the headlights work as intended. BUT there doesn't seem to be any brake lights. Turn signals work, also no interior lights. Usually if turn signals work brake lights work, but not in this case. Any ideas? fuses all look good.
Looks like going to take awhile to get all the sheet metal lined up as right , its a real mess. Didn't look to bad until put the hood on
Floor was all messed up. When they put the T5 in it, they welded up the floor and cut a new hole and it is a lot farther back than what the Muncie with Hurst shifter wants. Sawzall a great tool for making new holes, but have to make a patch for the old one

Check the brake light switch at the top of the pedal.

Did that previously and looks to be almost new. Just checked them again and now they working, little gremlins at work I guess. Still no interior lights, at all. even if try to turn on with light switch. So somewhere must be a loose wire or no connection. Dash and gauge lights work. They had the wrong sending unit for the console gauge and it now looks to be working a little better too. The Hurst shifter a real tight fit with the 4 speed plate installed on the console.

You're right, generally if the turn signals work, so do the brake lights. This is because the brake lights and turn signals use the same bulb elements and wiring from the turn signal switch back. The brake light circuit runs through the turn signal switch so when the turn signal switch is activated, the brake light on that side does not cancel the flashing of the turn signal. If the contacts in the turn signal switch are damaged, this could create this problem. Usually when this is a problem, the switch will have a spongy feel and the lever can be kind of floppy. Check the brake light switch for operation first and if found OK, then check the turn signal switch. You should have 12 volts entering and leaving the turn signal switch when the brake pedal is depressed.
