Hi every body im new to this whole thing i have a 68 camaro looking to put disk brakes on it i here there is lots of different options what have some of you done i am looking for something reasonably priced thanks for any help i can get

Is it for front or rear? If it's for the front it would be a matter of how far you want to go with the money. I'd rather get the stuff new. If it's for the rear then going with a used rear axle IMO would be better. Going around the junk yards is cheaper and fun but brakes is something you would depend your life on. I pulled disc brakes set up off a 76 monte carlo and put them on a 66 caprice once and it was more hassle than I thought it would be. For what I paid for parts I really only saved $300 than if I would of went with new hardware. I saw some magazines that have kits for around $600 bucks or less and I think it's all worth it.
