Default 69 Z28 questions

Just joined the forum as I am looking to purchase a Z28 and I need someone smarter than me to help me determine the value. The car I have found is a LeMans blue with black stripes Rallysport. Comfortweave deluxe interior. GM am/fm radio. Rare rear window defogger. Tilt wheel. Everything works on this car. Including the cowl hood flapper assembly. Interior and paint are super nice. Drop dead gorgeous. The cowl tag says it is a real Z.
the bad…..The rear stripes are painted for a vinyl top. The car was never a vinyl top according to the cowl tag. The differential is a 12 bolt 68 Camaro rear code BL. 3.07 ratio converted to a 3.73. The 4spd is out of a 65 Impala. The block does have the DZ stamp btw. Don’t know anything about the engines internals. But it sounds like a Z28. He wants 66K firm. A very impressive car. I might even go so far as to say it is show quality.
Any opinions please

Sounds a little steep to me for a car with piecemeal parts, the trans is probably a T-10 not a Muncie?
The car is obviously far from all original even if it is a real Z28/RS. You really need someone who knows their stuff to look at the car for prior body work and hidden rust etc. as well as documentation that it is in fact a real Z28 let alone a Z28 with the RS option originally.
No one here can give you a price with so many unknowns and not even pictures of the car.

Price does sound steep. Not sure why trans and rear end are not original. Sounds like something happened to the rear end...maybe an accident? If you really want this one, dig into the back of the car. Check for panel replacements, seam lines and other welding work underneath. A lot of money must have went to repairs which might explain the stiff high cost. Who knows, that is my instinct gut response.
