I am new to the forum and I have bought a 69. I have a couple questions about surface rust. Here goes, I have surface rust under the roof liner that has been taken out by the previous owner and I'm not sure if I am fixing it properly or not. I have been wire brushing the roof pretty good and spraying a couple coats of primer on it. Is this ok or do I need to do more?

 

You're doing great to try and paint it. Stop the rust, weld in small repairs and get the body smooth for paint.
