I love this car but its uniqueness is a pain sometimes. As you may know this Z11 has some features from Z28, RS and SS and some are kind of combined. It's a real mutt! Makes it difficult to find applicable reference materials for things like vaccum schematics, wiring, etc. Mine is an original 350 manual w factory AC

I'm trying to replace the lines for the windshield washer system which normally would take about 5 minutes, but this car also has the headlight washer system. About half of the hoses are missing so it's not real obvious what the correct routing is.

Looks like a bigger feed line goes from the tank to the bottom connection on the washer pump. It curretly has the two output lines coming out of the washer pump into a "Y" and then a heavy line goes up to another electrically powered unit near the top of the wiper motor. Then there appears there is an output from this thing, but that hose is missing.

Is that "Y" after the washer pump correct and what is that unit it runs to? I can't find it in any of the online parts catalogues and no reference to it in the Factory Assembly Manual I have.

Can anyone tell me what that item is and, better yet, could you provide or point me to a complete washer system schematic or line drawing that covers the Z11? Does a straight 1969 RS have the headlight washers too?

the car is basically a ss rs camaro. there was not much pulled from the z28 except for the stripes but they were an option to have in 69 on any model of camaro. so just look for info on an rs camaro the rs system is the same on every 69
