69 F&R Drum, non power, Q
Ok, so I am hoping you Camaro Buffs can shed some light. Please!
I have a 51 Chev pickup with a 69 Camaro front sub, and rear end. F&R Drums. Non-Power.
I installed a new Master Cylinder, Wheel Cylinders, Shoes, Hardware, Lines. Primed the cylinder, bled lines. No leaks.
I'm still not building pressure. Never had this problem before.
From what I understand, the block is a distribution block only? It is not a combination valve as far as I know.
I also do not have the proportioning valve, which, from what I've seen, was only on certain models, such as BBC's and AC's.....
So, I am at a bit of a loss. I am sure there is no air left in the lines. I have ran a ton of fluid through, pumped, and 2 man bled.
I am getting good flow, since cracking the bleeders provides a good flow of fluid on it's own.
So, I'm thinking I either have a bad brand new master cylinder, or am I missing something?
My master is up on the firewall, highest point in the system.... so I shouldn't need residual valves right???
I'm going to exchange the master cylinder, but is there something I'm missing?
I would really appreciate any insite. Also, if anyone has brake schematics / details, pdf pages for brakes on these, anything like that, I'd appreciate it. I googled the living crap out of it but couldn't find any detailed schematics or info on this particular setup, not in detail....
Thanx!
