Fusible links however, are slow blow. They will take a longer duration surge or short before it will melt. Needless to say, you'll probably be replacing the fuses somewhat frequently.

You hit the nail on the head there. I've replaced 3 so far. Thanks for the link.

Like you said, I've got to have a short somewhere. I'll just start with replacing the engine harness and see if that does it. If not, I'll keep going till all the wiring is new if I have to.
