I had a boot for my convertible, it blew off on the highway.
I thought I read somewhere that there are some clips that secure the front of the boot to something behind the seat to keep wind from getting underneath it.
I was just tucking it in behind the seat but that is what lead to it blowing off.
Any input is appreciated.

I also had some frustrations with the boot cover on my 68 Camaro.
-Thewind tried to remove the boot as it did not tuck in sufficiently behind the seat. -I solved this by sewing 1” wide straps into the boot and adding two snaps (see Pic). I know the strap is not perfectly straight as I had to move the snap a bit at the bottom to miss a wire, but it is all hidden with the seat up.
-I also extended theside panel snaps by sewingashort pieceof1/2”webbing to give me the 1” or so to reach the snap previously installed on the side panel. I did this to avoid a second hole in the panel. The black snaps are from eBay.
The boot clips were a more painful problem as the stock clips were extremely tight on the chrome window trim and I was afraid removing the clip would tear the trim off the car.
-Isolved this bydrillingholes intotheclip & adding a slot (see pics) this relieved much of the tension on the clip and allows easy attachment and removal. It took a couple of hours to do all the clips but I’m happy. I used a Dremel “spiral cutter” to connect the drill holes which was easier than using a drill bit.
Ihope this helps, letme know ifyou have anyquestions.

Reason: correct typo
The trunk you are using may have a specific fastening system, usually in the form of clips or brackets that must be attached to certain points on the car to keep the trunk in place, especially to prevent it from being moved by the wind.
Makes me wonder what they did with the Indy pace cars?
Did they not run a cover in the races?
Every convertible I have seen, has snaps for the boot all the way around
Granted, I am not real familiar with the Camaro convertibles
I am, however, an expert on the Fox body Mustang convertibles and know the ins and outs of adjusting them
That and 50 cents will buy coffee
Add some snaps?
