Guys got a pretty good deal on a 69 camaro,it is a clone of a SS 396, was a 6 cylinder car orginal.Got a 3 ring binder full of receipts and pictures were he redone almost everthing spent a lot of money on this car. It has a 454 bored 60 over and been done right at a machine shop i think it is a 468 with around 550 hp cant verify that to be sure but i do have receipts were he bought cam and done the block and the hole nine yards. It does have a few places comming out were it might have a little bondo in the bottom of fenders and some on the bottom quarter and place on the drivers door but nothing really bad. Car is a automatic and the interior is redone also and very very good shape.
This guys passed away some time ago and they are going to sell it,it has not been started in about 2 or 3 years but we got it started a day or so ago and runs great, fired right up after sitting for a few years. The guy done most of the build in early 2000 99 98 and the car has not been drove 10 times during the finish build. Still has the orginal one leaf rear spring. Has some bondo in the bottom of the rear glass on the slope of the car but just a small crack nothing major dont look like.power steering pump locked up and needs a new battery just to drive it home as of now. Give me a fair price on what this car is worth guys as i not real knowledge able guy on older camaro, what would you put in this car if you were buying it i just want to keep it for a while, drive it some and maybe sell it later on.Give me some advice guys if you dont care i will try to add pic if i can. thanks, opinions please after i here what you think i will tell you what i can buy this for later! Guy is holding it for me as i will probably buy the car if nothing dont happen!Vin is 123379N550555 looks like he put floor pans in it to only part of them the rest looks good only a section in both sides right under the seats or there about.
Well prices vary a lot geographically and not being able to inspect the car makes it hard to put a number on it.
That said around my area here in the PAC NW it would probably be in the asking range of $25K-$30K.
A real deal SS 396 would be double that if not more depending on options and condition/mileage.
i will agree, just wondering if it is worth buying and driving a while, dont know what there worth were it is a clone but it still cost a lot of money to fix this things up like that.

Any first gen has value,SS clone or not.
I had a '69 for 14 years and sold it back in 1990,wish I had it now considering how little I sold it for.
Plain jane car originally a 327 but had a good running '69 396 and 4 speed when I sold it.
Pretty hard to lose money on one unless you overpay and don't keep it long.
I looked at a basket case for sale on the side of the road one day when I saw the for sale sign on it.
No motor or trans,no interior,no windshield, lots of rust and asking $5000.
Basically you are buying a title frame and body that needs major work,I just walked away shaking my head.
