Default 69 BB engine install

Can the motor with bell housing be put in with the exhaust manifolds attached, I would like to put as many of the accessories on before install as possible, this Camaro game is new to me, came from the other side (vettes). Any tips would be appreciated. Car has ps, pb, 4spd

Not to change the subject, but ooh, do you still have the LS6? I've been into C3's for 20+ years, currently restoring another 69.
Sorry, I haven't tried what you want to do with the exhaust manifolds, mine's a small block.

The manifolds yes, they are tucked up tight enough to the block. I could not tell you about the bellhousing, I put mine on underneath. Looks like it would be a tight fit from above.

Got my 396 in my 68 with the TH400 attached with only the hood removed. It was tight without the headers. Definately use an engine tilter. You can install the manifolds once you get it in but before you bring it all the way down.
