Default 68 Dashboard panel install

Does anyone know if it is necessary to remove the windshield to replace the dashboard panel on a 68? Thanks for your help.

I think so. If I was looking at my 68 right, the dash panel goes over the lower cowl and under the glass. That way if water were to get in these, it would shed into the lower cowl... but then again, my car was in a million and a half piece when I got it...

Anybody else got any clue?

are you talking just about the front or the top?

the top you need to pull the windshield to do it properly. plus if you are needing a new dash, chances are that it is rotted out pretty good in the corners, and that needs to be fixed also

The1/4 inchclosest to where it meets the windshield is rusted. So I bet you're right that the corners are rotting as well. I wasjust hoping thatremoving the windshield wouldn't be the only way. Thanks for the feedback.
