New guy here.
I own a 1968 Camaro, currently an auto on the floor. I have an opportunity to purchase a 4 speed set up out of a 1969 Firebird.
I purchased the Camaro from the original owner in 1991. It's now an SS clone, so I am not too concerned about originality. I’m currently running a ZZ3, 350 with a turbo 350 and 3.08 poss.
I have always wanted to make it a 4 speed car, but life got in the way. Fortunately I was able to hold onto the car and maintain it's condition, but it’s time to get back to my hobby. Needless to say…I’m a little rusty. What is a fair price for the complete conversion? Less the 4 speed (I’ll probably buy a rebuild)
I figure I’m looking at:
Brake/clutch petal
Bell housing
Pivot ball
z-bar
push rod
?
Are the pre drilled holes for where the z-bar attaches to the chassis/frame the same on the 1968 Camaro and the 1969 Firebird. Will the 1969 parts be a correct fit for my 1968 Camaro? I think they are…but I don’t recall.
- Thanks in advance

The Camaro and Firebird are brothers, and many parts interchange. All the clutch linkage parts and the bellhousing is the same for 67-69. The subframes are different for the years (not model), but that's not to say the z-bar bracket doesn't mount in the same place. Pedal assemblies are 67-68 and 69 different. Again, doesn't mean it won't work, and I'd certainly try it. I once converted a different 69 from automatic to stick, using everything out of a 70 Camaro. So, a lot of stuff is the same.
