'67 Camaro wiper/washer issue

Hi,

I took delivery of my '67 RS/SS today. All well except when the wipers are activated the washer comes on all the time,

Any ideas what might be wrong?

I would check the wiper switch. Repo switches are very poor quality.

Normal operation. When you hit, er, push in on the wiper button, the button should turn to the LOW SPD position. Manual operator input needed in turning off wipers.
