Default 67 camaro headlights

Hey all, new to the forum here. I have a 67 camaro and have been looking to update the headlights. I picked up a set of h4 housing and some hid lamps but the light housing is to big. it fits in the bucket fine but behind the buckets there is just a small hole for the wiring to come through. I've considered just cutting the hole bigger in order to allow clearance for the light as it wouldn't hurt anything structurally but I really hate to start cutting on things. Does anyone know of a decent h4 headlight housing that fits into the 67 camaro? The ones I purchase are supposed to fit but I think there is a misnomer that the 67 is the same as the 68 and 69.

You may have to cut the bucket for them to fit.
Also, you should run a relay for direct power to each bulb.
Aftermarket sells the kits.
With this set-up, bulb power comes from the battery junction block for pass side and horn relay buss bar for the drvr side.
this way the current path is a shorter distance than going from alternator BATT stud to headlamp switch and back out to bulb - generally, power is lost and bulbs are dimmer.

Default Headlight bucket

I have a 67camaro with the hideaway headlight fenders but I don't want to use that style headlights in it . How can I get the headlight buckets to line up with that style fender ?

You can use a threaded coupler or threaded rod and double nut it.
I think the distance for standard bucket vs RS bucket is 2 inches?
Another member would have to confirm.
