Even with 93 octane you'll probably still realise some pinging and detonation at those compression ratios! I was running 10.75:1 and had lots of problems with it, even with timing retarded to allow for that.
You'll help some with aluminum heads, as they'll cool better, but on warm days probably still be a bit of a nuisance. As fir brand, Airflow Research have a great rep. Edelbrock also seems to have a good product. Too many variations to reccommend a particular model number. They both make 65cc chambers, and also 75cc chambers. Runners vary from 185cc to around 195cc for street heads. I'd not reccommend the runners over 195 for a street car.

afr's are one of the best aluminum heads out there. they flow really good. have a set on a 355 in a 55 chevy and the work really well.youll have to run alot of fuel additive because on pump gas you are going to have alot of pinging wiith that high of compression
