Is the instrument cluster easily removed? I want to put in brighter bulbs. Just remove screws? Secondly---what is the part called that mounts on the left side of 350 Camaro engines to keep it from twisting if the motor mounts break? Thanks in advance.

 

1) Unlike the p.i.t.a. of newer cars, you can reach up under the dash and remove the bulbs without removing the cluster.
2) What you're looking for is a: Motor Mount Safety Bracket
Fyi, if you're not going for the "authentic look", you could install urethane motor mounts. Urethane mounts don't need the safety bracket since they have an embedded safety interlock to them.

 

Most likely the bulbs are dusty is all--Mine were!!
