1969 Firebird Close Enough to a Camaro lol 455conversion
Hey guys I am looking for information on converting a 1969 Firebird to a 455 rocket out of a 1973 Buick Riviera. I have the Riviera and am looking at buying the Firebird anybody have any info on doing this or if it has been done could you hook me up with info and possibly pics?

I would think twice about the convertion. All the parts for a TA clone are now available incluing the steel hood. 69 TA for the win!! Also if you find a 400 Firebird I think the 455 is the same block so cenversion is not really a conversion its just a bolt in.

Thanks
Ya...um thanks for the warm welcome...and just incase you were wondering H2C, I was reading through some of the threads on here and there was quite a bit of pontiac talk. Didn't think it was such a big deal since ya know, Camaro and Firebird are still GM products and all. And the reason I was going with the 455 is I already have the 73 Riviera with low mileage and I can get the Firebird for 1500 cash I figured the swap...or placement of the motor wouldn't be too difficult. Just thought I would get some good opinions and advice on here. Thanks to all those so far who did provide some positive feedback. I found a good running 6.6L and a Ram-Air hood so I think I will be going that route hate to pull apart a good running good looking Riviera just for the engine and tranny.
