1969 350 Headers?

Curious to know, how was the clearance at the steering box? I heard that his were the only ones that addressed and provided for clearance, did the muffler shop have to dimple it and can you post up a pic? Also curious to know what kind of mufflers you ran and if you ran the exhaust out the back.

I attached a picture. Zoom in and you can see the fit around the steering box. No dimpling. We ran 2-1/2 pipes from the headers back, all custom bent because it is a tight fit under there. We went with turbo style mufflers. He installed some Flowmaster's first and let me hear it. The Flowmaster's sounded awesome but were a too loud for me. We ended up with AP goerlich xcelerators. Mellower but still have a deep musclecar sound. Muscular but I can hear the radio. This guy was an old hot rodder and was great to work with. He knew what sound I wanted.

Man...that looks super sweet and your muffler guys gets double thumbs up on service.
