1968 headlight switch

Angry 1968 headlight switch

Guys how do i remove the headlight switch shaft from the headlight switch ?????? help

Takes some force but pulls straight out.

Right before you go to yank the shaft out, make sure you push up on the spring loaded release button that's on the bottom of the switch housing.

Thanks guys i did push up on the springy thing and pulled but i guess it was on for so long that it took about 30lbs of pulling pressure to finally get it to come off. Then installing the new one was a pain in the butt, i couldn't get the shaft back on the new switch, it took me over 40 minutes to get it on and i had to put a tab on the rear of the switch to keep the shaft lock from going in when i pushed the shaft on. it kept going back even tho i was holding the springy thing. well finally success.
