1967 Rear Lower Shock Mount
Hi all,
I have a question and hope you guys can help. About a month agoI bought a 67 camaro. I got it from a dealer and tired to contact the previous owner but didnt get a call back. My question is.... 67's came with a mono leaf spring in the back. My car has 5 leaf now, and i think the lower shock mount that is on it is wrong. The shock mounts look to be the same on both sides but the one on the driver side seems to be flipped oposite of the passenger side. So the problem is the driver side shock is about 1 1/2" lower then the other side. So the car sits with a sag to the driver side. So i assume i have the wrong Mount and would like to correct this by putting a correct mount on that would bring the shock up and make it sit level. So i guess my question is, since its a 5 leaf spring should i get a mount for a 68 camaro. It seems that all the mounts for 67 are for mono leaf springs.
any part #'s would would be great!
please help!
Thanks!

RE: 1967 Rear Lower Shock Mount
67 camaro rear shocks are both installed in front of rear and all 67's had mono rear leaf spring, so you either have to buy 67 drivers side mono leaf shock plate or traction bars with shock mountingplate. 68 and 69 had staggered rear shocks, driversside shock mounts towards rear of car .i think mono leaf shocks are shorter than multileaf shocks or vise versa.
