Default 1967 Power Steering Conversion

I have a 1967 big block with manual steering. I’d like to upgrade to power steering and have a basic question I can’t seem to find an answer to. My alternator is currently mounted driver side and I assume I need to move it to the passenger side to make room for the PS pump. If not, can someone confirm and/or post a pic of how it would be mounted under or along side the alternator? Naturally I’d like to avoid moving the alternator due to the rewiring that would be required.

Thanks,
Steve

They both mount on the driver's side,it's a two belt system so you'll need the right pulley for the PS belt.

If its an original BB or was converted to one it would, or should, have MM & stands that put the motor about 1" off center towards PS and about 1/2" higher on DS to clear the steering box

Yes alt & PS pump are on DS as noted

Thanks SoCal67. Thats good to know. The cowl tag has it listed as 396 so I'm hoping its mounted correctly.
