Default 1967 Horn Assembly Question

Sorry guys, I've done all the searching I could and if the posts are out there the links were deleted or images don't work. I'm trying to figure out if I've got the right assembly setup for the horn on my 67. One of the last remaining items to get this inspected.

I have a Z87 Steering wheel.

The center hub of the steering wheel is nonconductive but obviously the shaft nut and also the 2 puller threaded holes are ground.

I started with nothing so I don't have a setup to go by. Below is the image I put together, apologies for the crudeness it was the best I could do without a CAD package.

2 questions:

#1 - Do I have the setup correct?
#2 - Are there supposed to be screws in the wheel puller threaded holes that make contact with the Bellville? It would seem to be the ONLY way I can get contact to ground and trip the relay.

Default 2nd Attempt

OK so I spent hours on this last night and am still struggling to figure out the setup. I have a suspicion that I may have some poorly built aftermarket parts but I also think I may be missing the configuration.

So I flipped around the contact spring (#2) and used the teflon washer to space this off from the horn contact cup (#1). This seems to make sense but only if the cup contacts the steering wheel nut.

Any guidance or help would be appreciated. I have the AIM and a few other aftermarket and reconditioning manuals but I don't have a good section of the assembly.

use this, if you still need the help:

Camaro Owner's Handbook: Maintenance, Restoration and Repair How-Tos for ... - Ron Sessions - Google Books

page 105 (bottom right corner) shows how to disassemble it with what you have. it's my guide when i put mine back together from adding console gauges and swapping to the factory wheel from a grant.

hope this helps!
