I need a grill emblem for the '67 standard that I just bought. None on it. I see several for sale out there. None with the metal bracket to slide over the emblem studs before you put the speed nuts on. My memory says that they had one & they came with the emblem. Am I wrong on that? How else would the bracket be held onto the grille?

 

Yes, you are correct in grille emblems having a retainer plate.
If none available, use large flat washers?

I see the RS emblem has the bracket,doesn't show it on the standard in the pic,I'd give them a call.
