Default 1967 Camaro Vent Glass Installation

Hello everyone,

I figured I would finally subscribe to the forum and give my question a try after not being able to find an answer through countless internet research and searching through forum. I have a 1967 that is being restored by myself with the exception of paint. The last thing left is to install the windows and I am having an issue with the passenger vent window. The gasket on the bottom of the vent window will not seal against the outside of the door and there is always a gap. The drivers side had a similar issue but I was able to manipulate it enough to at least touch the outside door when the door is shut. When the drivers door is opened, the gap is very small and when the door is shut, I believe it is close enough to consider it good. Back to the passenger side, no matter what I do, I can't even get it close and their is always a gap.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to make the gasket to actually seal against the door. Also is the fact that the driver side has an opening when the door is open an issue. I have watched videos on installs and it always seemed like they had to push the window down into the gap and the seal is made instantly. Mine do not even touch and are easily placed into the door slot. Also, the doors are new and the windows are original. I hope this makes sense and I look forward to talking to everyone.

Here are some pictures of the window
