Car in storage. About 4500 miles. Thinking about putting it up for sale. Looking for some opinions on what to value it at. 1 of 50 that was actually used on the track. Thank you in advance for your input.

 

Nice car! The problem with selling a car like this is finding someone who also likes the history of the car being used at the Speedway. To a lot people, it's just a car with "stickers". The fact that the car is also a Hot Wheels Edition should help with holding the price up. Have you been able to find any others like for sale to see what kind of price their asking for.? You may also want to see what the book value is for a Hot Wheels convertible similarly equipped, then add on what you feel being used at Indy is worth.

 

Here's an ad for Car #35. Personally, I think this car is overpriced. This is at least thirty thousand over the sticker when new, so I doubt many would be willing to pay that much just because the car was used at Indy. If you have the Civic Event Plate used on the car and other documentation, it can help to justify asking more than the book price, but this is an extreme markup.
