I got my car 3 weeks ago. I've never driven a camaro or any similar car before this so I'm not sure what's normal, I've always driven a small SUV! So I'm just gonna ask to see if this is normal or if not, what it might be? This is all in tour mode. I haven't payed much attention when I'm in sporty mode.

When I start my car it idles at about 1200 rpm for 30 seconds-1 minute. It of course is pretty loud but sometimes there is a rattling or odd sounds along with it. I wait til that idle goes down (normal idle is about 600-800 rpm) to put my car into gear.

When I put it in reverse there is a huge clunk and the car jerks, sometimes worse than others, to the point that I try to avoid parking my car somewhere that I have to put it in reverse... it's almost difficult to put it into reverse.

When I put it in drive, sometimes there is a clunk or it jerks/jumps but not nearly as bad.

When slowing down it is smooth until right before I come to a complete stop it almost seems like it skips or jerks.

Ive read that there was a recall having to do with reprogramming the transmission but wondering is this normal, should I get it checked or does anyone else have these issues. It could very well be something besides transmission..just what I was assuming.
