Default SS Automatic Dyno Results

Well Finish Line Performance in Naperville, IL just dyno'd a stock 2010 Camaro SS Automatic last weekend at their Open House, which yielded a rich running tune at ~321 RWHP and ~340 RWTQ.

those numbers sound very low. at 426hp at the crank, a 15% drivetain loss would yield 363.9RWHP and to safely bet at 20% it would yield 340.8RWHP.

the one done by livernois motorsports dyno sounds about where it should be. 364 RWHP and 371 TQ

These are the same numbers(give or take a couple HP) we come up with everytime we baseline an automatic Camaro. Manuels generally baseline at 350 RWHP. Right on the money FLPMotorsports. It does not take much to get to 420 with some mods though.

why are the dyno results lower than the horsepower ratings it comes with? isnt that a contradiction? how come the numbers dont match, i.e., 400hp engine gets dynotested and the results are 400 hp? +- 5

Is it suppose to be 400hp at the crank?
