Newbie here, I just ordered a 2SS LS3 today. Asked the salesman if the engine internals (crank, pistons etc) are cast or forged steel. He didn't know but said he would contact GM technical to find out. Does anyone here know?

 

Head & Block - Cast Aluminum

Crank - Cast Iron

Pistons - Cast Aluminum

Rods - Powdered Metal Crack Rods

Cam - Hollow Billet Steel
