Default Radar Detector

Does anyone have a good and new radar detector in their camaro? I am willing to spend up tp 1,000 and would prefer a wireless one so that theres no cord. The best one I could find was the Escort S3. What are your recommendations? Please do not respond saying that radar detectors are pointless and advising me not to speed.

Think about having the
detector hardwired in. I had it done with my Escort 8500.

Thanks, It doesnt look too easy to hardwire one in on a 2011. Thats why I was thinking wireless. Dont you have to take the whole dash off to do this?

no you get one that is designed for hardwire theres a positive a negative and a "remote" that you splice into a "key on" 12V supply

Ooo how would one go about doing that?

Valentine One is one of the best out there and has saved me multiple times.

It really depends on the area, radar is still in use -- it varies widely. Your best bet, IMHO is a Valentine One paired up with the Radaractive app and hardware -- this way, V1 detectors are networked and crowd-source traps that folks WITHOUT detectors can benefit from with the FREE Radaractive app. It's a BRILLIANT idea, similar to how Google and Apple do crowd-sourced traffic from smartphones...
