Default Z28 Model in 09?

Personally I think there needs to be a z28 model for the new camaro. It is a huge leap from the 300hp v6 model to the 400+hp ss model something needs to go in the middle ie the z28. Tell me what you guys think.

well they havent confirmed the z28 yet, however the rumour is that the z28 will be the high end model but wont be released until a year after the new camaro comes out, but just rumours so far...

K, What is it about the two engine choices you cannot choose from? Both should perform quite well. Z28 should never be a midlevel model. There is NOT a big gap between the 6 and the 8. The 6 has the h.p. of today's Mustang GT and is light and will perform. A Z28 should have the LS7 or a supercharger. A big gap is what the Cad CTS offers. 304 h.p. 6 and 556 h.p. 8.

z28 has almost always been the middle ground between the V6 and SS models and the 4th gen SS models were hardly more than appearance and a few bolt ons. I dont see why a Z28 isnt offered with just a V8 and basic factory parts and an SS is a well optioned version.

the z28 used to be the top of the line model.lite ? these cars are pretty heavy....and they are trying make the z28 the way it used to be, not just the standard v8.

Im talking more along the lines of the 4th gen. SS was a higher model no? And i didnt mean the camaro was gonna be light.. but from what i saw on top gear, and from people ive talked to that own the car say its really fun to go straight but in the curves you might as well forget you have all that horsepower.

no when i was replying to it being light it was to the other poster.i know we all complain about how heavy these cars are but its really cause they have more safety features than all the previous cars have had.

from what i understand Chevy didn't advertise a Z28 when the camaro first came out. once the car was lunched they announced it. So i assume they are doing the same. as for a power plant I've heard talk of an LS8. little like the LS9 but not as much power.

the power plant that is going in the z28 will be the same as the cadi ctsv...556 horsepower, a 4th gen style ss hood, and a little bigger spoiler
