I'm a little shocked that they didn't announce a Z28. Do you think they will make one?

I think they kinda screwed up by not making a Z28. If they wanted the retro style to be authentic, they'd make the Z28 be the top dog (that can be argued)... After all SS's are RPO Z27 and Z28s are RPO... well... Z28 aka "Special Performance Package" and that just sounds better that "Super Sport" . Although maybe Chevy is doing exactly what they did in back in 1967 by not advertising or badging a Z28 car since initially it was made for the Trans-Am Series. Who knows what will happen; either way I hope they do make Z28's.

 

I think as the launch date comes up they will announce a Z28. It will be a twin turbo LS7. Call it the Z29 lol.

 

I was talking to my cuz ( big camaro person ) and he said they were going to make one after the first year of production with the LS-7. Dont know for sure....but I trust him on a lot of camaro things.

 

so what is the v8 model called then if its not a z28?

Look at Chevy website. Geez, there seems to be more posts of the new camaro at MF than here. But ya, 400 hp SS, and 300 hp v6 model
