will they make a cop/patroll car
Most fleet vehicles with pursuit packages are made by dodge now. You will be seeing more chargers and intrepids (untill they phase them out) picked up by PD's.
there's still a pretty nice looking state trooper z28 around here too. Solid black and clean, with the gold star badge on the door. He had lights but recently took them off, and aparently did a grille delete. It looks pretty sweet, can't wait to get pulled over by it.. (if i should ever get pulled over..lol)

That is an interesting question and I actually doubt it. Remember that highway patrols got Camaros originally only because there were no cars meeting their basic specifications: V8, rear wheel drive, 0-60 in less than 8 seconds, good durability. Police and DOTs did not like giving up 4 doors, but they made the choice.
Today, there are a number of sedans that meet their specs, including police interceptor versions of the Hemi Charger and ChevyImpala SS (its not rear wheel drive but I see alot of them around central NC now). Any police department would rather have four doors and room for "perps" etc., than the sleeker styling.
