Question What's the "real" mpg for Camaro's?

I'm thinking of purchasing a 2011 Camaro. I want to hear from owners, not the dealers or the unrealiable mpg listed from Chevy, on what the real mpg is. Assuming normal driving conditions and automatic trans. How many gallons will the tank hold?

MPG will depend on your driving habits and the size and weight of your right foot. lol

In order to make starting easier in winter gas companies switch to a more volatile gasoline, additionally many states require additives (such as MTBE) to hold down cold start pollution. The net effect is that winter gasoline contains about 2% to 3% less energy per volume. This requires that more fuel be burned for the same amount of power, which decreases fuel economy.

I get low to mid 18 in city driving. On a trip to porter texas from plano i got 21.8 and on the way back from porter coming home i got 25.2. I have made the trip 3 times so far this year and all the numbers are about that, its always better on the way home. I just drive normally, No hot rodding but at least the speed limitin town. Im happy with my camaro. 2011 ,rs,2lt convertible.

Wow V6's I get 18.7 in the SS 6spd. I dont hold back all that often too. This is about a 70/30 mix of 55 country road and 25-35 on post driving respectivly.

Oh yeah the tank, just put in about 16 gal when the light came on.

I have only had my 2011 2Lt/RS for about 3 days but so far ~25 on hwy and ~22 mixed hwy and city. I keep the avg MPG display up and try to minimize jackrabbit starts to improve my MPG. I do like knowing I have 312 horses ready if I decide to punch it.

Default First gas fill

I just picked up mine on Saturday, drove it all around town and stuff, when the tank was just below half I filled it up.

I did the calculations, did not use the car's computer.

First 200 miles, I got 21.4 MPG. This is a '12 2LT, 6-speed stick 'Vert.

I'm sure it'll do a lot better on the highway.
