I personally don't like the direction the Challenger, Camaro and Mustang are taking lately. There IS a reason those body shapes went out of style 40 years ago.

I was hoping the newest Camaro would be an evolution of the 4th Generation Camaro. Seems like the only car that has stayed true to itself is the Corvette.
i'd have to say the best of the remakes is the challenger or the camaro SS..still not even close to the old school ones but alot better looking than the charger and mustang imo..

those body shapes never go out of style just get better with age

and there's not much to say about today's style..the Prius, Cube, xb..all ugly as hell imho

ya the vette hasn't changed much in the last 30 yrs

Yes, the old body styles are great. BUT, meant to be classic styles that age like fine wine. To try to remake them nearly identical to 40 year old cars is just not my idea of "new".

I am sure they could have redesigned the Camaro with more of a low slung, ground hugging shape like the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th generation.

yeah i love the older body styles but the remakes aren't really like the older styles..they didnt even remake them the same..should of just left the classics alone..its like remaking a classic movie, it just ruins it lol

yeah and they shouldn't of made them so heavy lol i mean they weigh like 600-1000 lbs more than mine lol

The car is what it is, if your looking for visibility...buy an SUV, and as far as retro....that's not what they were aiming for, the car is not gonna feel like a classic muscle car, it's a modern day performance car ...and I for one , love it.
If I want an oldschool feel...I drive my Chevelle and if an oldschool muscle feel is what your looking for ,I suggest that you don't buy a new car..... buy a classic.

The SS feels like a Toyota Camry..sounds like one too. GM spent all their time on looks with no attention to detail or ergonomics. Needs lots of work to be "cool" in my book

My dad had a 1987 vette brand new when i was 16 and i had a built camaro. He let me drive the vette and i could have swore my camaro had more power. It just felt meaner. Well, he left me sitting in that thing. The vette was so much faster but with the way it was built, it felt like a cadillac or something. Thats probably the same with the new ss. Its got plenty of power but everything works so well together that you really cant tell how much it really has.

I think GM did an exceptional job. I see some resemblence of the Classics in the Camaro, but it's a tasteful amount. It's not the most suitable for me, being 6'3", but that's the trade-off. My fourth-gen fits me no better.

It's clearly a "Hot" seller to new-comers, and loyalists alike.

What car could the Famous Bumblebee be other than a new 5th Gen Camaro

A VW Beetle? At least that is what he was from 1985-2005.

Badbee's impressions are right on. Exhaust note is low and, the look of the pipes and mufflers from the rear is cheap too. I heard an SS auto take off hard from a stop and was sorely disappointed.
Chevy stayed true however because this car really is a baseline car with a fantastic engine. The interior is geared for younger pups but the car is priced for the old farts like me. It will still sell cause the exterior design is off the hook. Lots of room to mod the heck out of it too.

I would still take one in a Chevy second.
