Default To stripe ... or not to stripe ... 2012 Camaro Convertible

I have a 2012 Camaro RS convertible in victory red with black soft top and interior. I currently have no striping and am considering adding striping to my car - probably the 5th gen OEM rally stripes and maybe a small strip along the bottom sides of the car.

The problem is I like the car as it is, and I am not sure the stripes will make it look that much better -- and I cannot find a car like mine online or in person to see with the stripes. If I find a victory red Camaro, it isn't a vert.

I thought I might go with black gloss, but someone pointed out the black matte matches the soft top better. I am just not sure because black matte always looked somewhat faded or old to me, and it brings back images of older Camaros with faded and worn graphics. I may be totally wrong since I have not seen black matte on my car.

Then someone suggested that I do silver stripes. I'm not sure.

At this point I am not doing anything. I thought I would ask if anyone has a pic or link to a victory red soft top with black matte or black gloss rally stripes. Or if you have an opinion based on a car you have seen, I'd appreciate hearing from you.

Thanks and Happy Mardi Gras!

I've got a 2011 Red Jewel conv and have been wanting to stripe it, which I hope to do this spring. Will use the flat black ralley stripes. Some old timer told me without stripes they call them naked............................................. ........

I have them on mine. I think it makes it pop! Do remember the issue of paint fade though if you ever want to remove them.

Default I vote "NO STRIPE"

Just my 2 cents from a Newbie, is "No Stripe". I have nothing against them and actually think they look very sharp but most of the ones I see have them and I like being different. I have a 2011 convertible 2LT in Silver Ice. I wanted a 2LT and found it very difficult to find that trim level without the stripe but after several weeks of online and travel searching, I found it a couple of hundred miles from my home. I drove there and bought it. I think it was worth the effort and so far, I have not seen any other like it and get many compliments on it. I have added a spoiler, chrome gas lid and will be adding polished or chrome wheels. Again, trying to keep it a little different.

Another newbie here that added the stripes. I just got it back a couple hours ago and love the look.
