Default Starting to Think I should have stayed with Mustang

Just came back from a trip to North Carolina. I live on Long Island NY. I noticed some grinding noise coming from the rear on turns. The car has 3700 miles on it. I took it to the dealer and went for a ride with a "mechanic" and he heard the noise. He said...and I quote, "that is the clutches making noise because they aren't getting enough fluid. You don't make enough turns." I just looked at him and said..."you are kidding me aren't you?" He was dead serious. I said.."look..I drive the car. When I need to turn, I turn, when I need to go straight, I go straight, if this car can't handle that, then someone should have told me that when I bought it, that it needs to turn a lot." Anyway...I left the car there and they call me later to tell me that they found a bulletin that the factory put the wrong fluid in the rear ends and the fluid and the seals need to be changed. They had to order the seals...I should get it back tonight.
Anyone ever hear of this? Are there any bulletins out there, or are they just bullsh***ing me again?

That's ridiculous, you don't make enough turns, like your suppose to turn into the front of someone house because your car needs it. Just another way the stealer**** tries to pull the wool over the eyes. How is it now that they changed the fluid and seals?

the turning thing is complete bs but the fluid does matter especially a lsd, you need an additive to protect the clutches. if this additive isnt present or is wrong for some reason than the lsd can start making noises. are they covering this by the warranty or a recall? also i have absolutely no experience with the new camaros, is it a solid rear or independent suspension?

Its all covered under warranty. The rear is independent suspension. I finally got it back Wednesday night. Took almost a week for the parts to get there. Its still made a little noise in the morning, but they tell me I have to give it about 500 miles before the new fluid works into the clutches. I saw the bulletin and that is what it said, so I know they aren't b s ing me this time.

dont blame one mechanics misdiagnosis on the car or the company. when breaking in a new posi rear center section it will make some noise on turns. if you take it to a empty parking lot and make a bunch of turns it can shorten the time it takes to work the additive into the clutches. can be fun too.

Actually..it all worked out well. They replaced the seals and the fluid and the noise is gone. They said it would take about 500 miles for the fluid to work in...but the noise was gone after only about 200 miles.
