Default speed limiter - how to disable

I hit my speed limiter for the first time on my new 1lt, 118 mph, what is the easiest/ cheapest way to get it set higher? can a dealership do this when I get the right tires?

thanks

Reprogram the computer to delete the speed limiter.

I'm thinking you probably have T rated tires, which is why the limiter is there.

Before gettin' all speed happy, keep safety at least somewhat in mind and make sure you're running tires that'll handle the speed you're after.

You need to buy a programmer, generally run $300-$400 iirc. Then learn to use it.

Or, bring it to a dyno shop or get a mail order tune.

dont think its worth it to just remove a speed limiter. Mod the car, tune it and do it then if you still want to

Talk about getting testy. Looks like you want to go fast, but don't care if you crash or harm some innocent people in the process.

Too many careless kids on these camaro forums I've noticed, sheesh

Just don't go running over your tire speed rating, lose control, and kill some innocent bystanders in the process, please.

If you're not keeping safety in mind, I'm not going to help you and I'd hope that nobody else does either.
