WD-40 Company has partnered with SEMA’s charity arm, SEMA Cares, to help build a custom version of the highly anticipated 2010 Chevrolet Camaro for the 2009 SEMA Show. Leading aftermarket manufacturers pitched in to give the vehicle what it needs to bring the classic American pony car back in style. With an aggressive stance, a 6.2-liter V8 engine and more than 600 horsepower, the WD-40/SEMA Cares Camaro has a distinctive look and exceptional performance.
The vehicle will be appear at other select auto-related events on the West Coast, and then be auctioned at the Barrett-Jackson Classic Car Show and Auction Jan. 18–24 in Scottsdale, Ariz. Proceeds of the sale of the vehicle will go to Childhelp® and The Victory Junction Gang® Camp children’s charities.
Features of the vehicle include: a custom body kit from Street Scene Equipment, Pedders suspension with 3 inches of height adjustment, Forgeline 20x9.5 DE3S wheels for the front axle and 20x11.5 DE3S wheels for the rear, Nitto NT05 max-performance radial tires, Paxton NOVI high-output supercharger system, two DynoMax Ultra Flo™ Welded performance mufflers, special paint and color formulation, tint design, Katzkin leather interior and logo embroidery, Odyssey high-power and long-life battery, two sets of 6.5” Point Source component speakers, digital subwoofer, 4-channel amplifier and two 7” widescreen high-resolution video monitors from Eclipse, and a PlayStation®3 from Sony Computer Entertainment America. Additional partners involved in Camaro build include: Ape Wraps, Audio Innovations, Cie Studios, House of Tints, MGP Caliper Covers, PPG Industries and Top Quality Powder Coating.
