Default Performance exhaust kit - worth it?

I have an SS2 and am considering getting the performance exhaust kit offered thru chevy. Does anyone have it and recommend it? How much better does it sound and how much power does it add? Thanks.

You talking about the axle back kit?

ok it's an axle back kit, you won't get a noticeable hp increase, but the sound will be much better!!!

How much does the kit cost? Also is it easy to install.

Default cost

$750. Its bolt on so it depends on how long you have had your car - more miles the more difficult to remove the bolts I should think. At least that is my experience with exhaust parts. The bolts might be hard to remove. I have breaker bars and impact wrenches but I will probably have the dealer install. I'll let you know that cost when I get a quote.

It's a bolt on...but the existing has to be cut off, also.... I'd go with the track pack/ (off road kit) better sound and maybe a couple hp or more.

Default Would love to but ...

I have ground effects and I don't think the track pack works with them. Does it? Thanks for all your help. I really appreciate it!

Default Sound I'm looking for

I'm looking for a more throaty sound like an old v8 not a blak - blak of a tuner car. I'm concerned the track pack may give the blak - blak sound. Have you ever heard the track pack exhaust? If so what does it sound like? I'm assuming I can cut the tips off the non-ground effects version and replace them with the straight pipe from my stock version. might lose some hp and sound though. Thanks again!
