Default Oil life + Tire question

Hey,

#1 So i've driven the car about 7,200 km and it says that the oil life is at 13%. Does that mean i need to change the oil before it hits 0%, or when it hits 0% I have 1,000 km's to do it before things start messing up?

#2 Also, I live in TORONTO, and since winter is coming, i was curious to know if anyone knows of a good, affordable place to get winter tires? Especially somewhere in Thornhill?

Thanks!

Oil life....I would not go by in car-gage, but set your own schedule depending on your driving style. Also forget mileage, I would suggest a oil & filter change every six months.

Winter tires.... They are not cheap in the size you require and you will need FOUR (4). Try Tirerack.com to see what brands are available and the estimate costs facing you. This way you will not get sticker shock when shopping around your area.

The commercials are right when they say that oil is the life blood of your engine. I NEVER wait till 7,500 miles. I change oil at 3 months or 3,000 miles. I live in Indiana. It gets cold here too and I worry about sludge.
