Default NYC Auto Show and the Camaro

Went there with the fam today and saw 5 Camaros.

I was able to sit in an RS and a SS with the RS package. Fit and finish were not as good as I expected. The material used on the interior could have been a better quality.
I also sat in the Pontiac G8 in which I also felt the quality of the seats in particular were sub par to the 04-06 GTO.

Now before you all pounce on me, the design of the Camaro is awesome and I beleive will prove to be a real competitor to the Mustang GT. As much as I appreciate the GTO's looks, I am fully aware of the majority veiw out there.
I am sure the Camaro would take the easy win regarding exterior design given a normal pop sample.

My favorite Camaro was the red SS without the RS package because in this example, the SS lettering was white which looked so sharp over the rear pass tail lamp. An SS with the RS package would give you the SS lettering in orange.

Yeah. The Bumble color is out of the park and I wish it were offered. Its like a yellow/gold. Very bright but rich looking.
I noticed the wheels did not have brake calipers so I wonder if that one was drivable. They probrably had serveral versions......wish I had one.

yea same here.

one thing about the camaro is when i sat in it, the trunk space and rear seat are just too darn small. Chevy did a bad job on it

haha dido ^^

I'm waiting to graduate and get a good job too.. but for now I'm just building my credit so that when I do get the new camaro I'll get a bomb interest rate. However I do plan on test driving the car once a month up until I get it lol.

Good luck getting a test drive. Not unheard of for the dealers to ask for a down payment to drive the car on an anticipated hot new arrival. They did that when the GTO's came out in 2004 and it's unlikely at the very least they will give test drives out for the curious only.
