Personally, I think the new Camaro is going to be the best yet (Obviously) But what I'm really trying to say is I think they will make it have the best motor options in it's first Fifth Generation years. Incase in the event that tragic that the model fails, it will keep a lasting impression, and to come out strong for it's debut back into production, and put the other makers in their place once again, while pertaining to be slightly lesser than it's big brother the Corvette. Tha Flagship of Chevrolet performance. In which I heard about many changes for the next generatin of Corvette Ithink wasto be expected for 2012. But what I really wonder is, what will Ford do??? The Mustang GT has roughly 300 HP The Camaro will have much more than that. Ford has to be doing something about this. Anybody know what?

 

i thought ford was like pushing with the roush kits and all that stuff..idk maby they will come out with the cobra again? idk if thats alredy out..i think they ahve the shelby cobras back alredy...idk if the shelby cobra and the cobra are the same car idk anythign about ford..but im sure their trying somthing lol

 

Yeah, the new Shelby GT 500 has about 500HP But if the new Camaro has 400HP without even being an SS what will Ford do about that?

 

Has anyone read the new Muscle Car mag. yet? If not look at Nov 2007 on page19. Fith Gen. The 09 Camaro will include 2 v-6s and a few v8s. On the v8 table now is an LS3 engine with L92 Heads. the engine will be installed in the z28s and produce around 400-450 HP. There is also talk about the roots style blower that produces about 550 HP. Of course this is just an other mag talking,but the LS3 is what I want to hear about when it comes to the 5th gen Camaro!!!

Man I hope that's true. I think it will be, because I've heard this elsewhere too. That would really be something to see. Im sure Top Gear would even have something good to say about it. lol

 

ive heard that there will be 3 v-8s available... 2 will be LS2s one with an auto and one with a 6sp 400 horespower and an LS9 with a supercharger making 550-600 horsepower

 

Not likely as far as LS2s, they are already out of production replaced by the LS3. It's almost impossible to come up with what engines will/will not be available in the new Camaro, the LS2 and LS3 were 4th gen SBCs and Chevy/GM is in the process of putting the 5th gen SBCs into production. So we might see a 5th gen Camaro with a 5th gen SBC. I'm sure whatever engines end up in the new Camaro, there will be some good choices available.
