Default New camaro approved

according to the new GM High-Tech Performance magazine the new camaro will start production as early as 2009 as a 2010 model.They will be built in australia, and the coupes are said to be built first and the convertibles will be built less than a year later.The engines said to be used so far is a 240-horse, 3.9-liter LZ8 V-6, and the 300-horse, 5.3-liter LH6 V-8.

5.3L !?!?! wtf lol... I thought they are getting a LS2 5.7 .... Damn thats never good to downgrade, ford did that with the 5.0 to 4.6 :P

my uncle works for GM, he is a head engineer, he said for sure they will get the LS2 if not more, i wouldnt worry

If they were showing the LS2 with the car, they would be stupid to bring out a less powerful engine in it. Not to say that GM hasn't pulled stupid moves like that, but even so that would be one of their worst moves. Oh and to be picky, the LS2 is 6.0L and the LS1 is 5.7L.

that whas a good move by ford because the 289 is a better engine by far then the 302.

I sure as hell hope they don't downgrade. I'm 19 and by the time this comes out, I'll have enough credit built up and my current 02 camaro will be paid off, then I can get this one... But if it's actually a downgrade, that changes a lot. Seriously, with the new wave of modern muscle cars coming out, the Camaro better not be pushing less than 375ish for hp.
