my names jonathan, currently serving in iraq and just recently bought a 2010 chevy camaro. i picked the 1ss because i love the v-8. u cant have a muscle car with a v-6 it just doesnt work out. ANYWAYS, ive been told by my mother that i DID NOT get the 1ss and i just got a normal v-8, what i need help on is this.

How many v-8 models do they have?? as far as ive seen its just two. 1SS and 2SS. Do they have just a regular V8 not in the SS models??? i dont think so, so im asking help to see if anyone else knows. thanks guys

 

I believe your right. The best way to check would probably be Chevrolet's website. Everything available should be on there.

What was your color of choice?

 

i orginally got it black with silver racing stripes, but im changing my color to look like the bumblebee in transformers 2 lol i love the black on yellow.

ya i checked it out only seen the 1SS and 2SS, wasnt to sure if they made a plain V8 ya know like mustang, theyve got their limited theirs gt's and all this then the plain V8 lol

 

Hi jonathanpyles07 Dont panic, the SS means you get the V8. The 2SS gives you leather and a few other things.

 

lol, im not panicing i was just double checking didnt do what ford did and make a plain V8 model. thats all. i know SS means i get the V8. lol but thanks,

Thanks GMDCAMARO, this is my first camaro i used to drive a 2004 mustang saleen s-281 before i deployed. Now im proud to call myself a camaro owner, bad thing is ive got 1 and half months left before i can actually see it. i ordered it online and their putting everything on it i want end of august so when i land in the US its the first thing i get.

 

Isnt the 2ss the most optioned? I know the 6-speed has like 26 more horsepower than the auto.

 

ya the 2ss gives u more things in it like leather seats, blue tooth capabilities. however from what chevy.com says BOTH SS models come standard and not automatic anyways which is a major plus
