Default MAX RPM's ?

Owner's manual says to avoid going over 4K rpm until after 3K km (break-in).

After this point and it's safe to play a bit, how high do you guys push the limit and feel that it is not damaging anything?

Your engine is equipped with a rev limiter, to prevent breakage. Keep revs below the red line on the tach, that is why it was put there. However, if you don't allow the rings to seat properly before pushing the red line, you will wind up with an oil burner, that is low on power.

6000 rpm and mine will start busting out with the rpm limiter. It's a good idea because I have an automatic with the manual shifting on the steeling wheel. I forget to shift from time to time with the manual mode and the limiter reminds me to shift.
