I love mine. Would I prefer one of the V8s? Uh ... yes! But I saved a pile of money and still have more power under my right foot than I should probably be allowed. The Camaro is iconic as opposed to world-class, although at its price-point it does compare well. Some people call it a "pony-car" as opposed to a "sports car", and that's what I wanted. Other sports-car owners find it big. Rear visibility is awful - I hear they improved it in the 2016 iteration. I'm really glad for my rear-view camera.
I've done a track-day with it twice, and even on non-OEM tires (BFGoodrich Sport Comp-2), rattled my instructor once or twice, but the tires didn't let go - amazing even in the wet. (Not that I couldn't shake it loose ...)
No plans to sell, except that everything is for sale. Mine is Summer-driven only, in Eastern Ontario, Canada.
Why are you thinking Camaro? (I just always wanted one.) Why 2012?
